What are you doing for New Year’s Eve? House party? Venue? Black Tie? Casual? Well don’t worry, even if you are staying home in your pajamas, there are so many ways to wear sequins this New Year’s Eve for every occasion!
Pant Looks:
Sequin pants have become such a fun way to wear pants this winter! I found two amazing pairs from Revolve Clothing.
The Take It Easy Black sequin legging, which of course is by one of my favorite brands, Lovers + Friends LA, can match almost any top you want to pair with them. If you are looking to dazzle through the night, then this $98 pair of leggings matched with a silver sequin top is the way to do it! I also really loved these leggings paired with a solid black top and a fun colored blazer like my red Zadig & Voltaire shown in the photo.
If you are looking to bring in a little color with your sequin pants then check out these plaid red, black and white Saskia Crop Pant by the brand NBD. I have worn these day and night and trust me they did an amazing job with the liner so you do not have the itchy sequin feel. I paired these for a night time look with a black and white bootie by Nasty Gal (on sale now for $32) and cropped black sweater (mine is from Garage Clothing). Dress Looks:
The amount of sequin dresses out there right now is completely overwhelming. There are so many different colors, cuts and styles! So I have decided to post three of my favorite looks that are not just your regular old black sequin dress! Aidan by Aidan Mattox designed a stunning purplish silver sequin spaghetti strap dress with a strapless look. The color shimmers in whatever light shines on it. Pair this dress with a silver stiletto and a black leather jacket or faux fur coat to finish off the look!
Urban Outfitters came out with two gorgeous dresses perfect for New Year’s Eve. The first one is a stunning puffed shoulder, one sleeve wine colored sequin dress. The sleeve detail is amazing and definitely would look HOT, HOT, HOT, with a pair of black booties and tights!
The next one is a shimmering long sleeve dress with a deep V back. The light silver rainbow of colors that are bursting through these sequins in a unique design are extremely eye catching. Personally I would match this dress with a pair of pink pumps, but really any color that you want to pop in this dress will work especially a blue or purple!
Skirt Looks:
Why not wear a bright fun sequin skirt this New Year’s Eve?! When I went to the J.Cew sample sale this month I found an amazing bubble gum pink sequin mid length skirt! I could have so much fun dressing this up with heels and a silk top or I could take this down a notch and pair it with a knit top and booties. You have to remember to dress for the type of celebration you are having this NYE, but at the same time be you, have fun and enjoy the sequins while you can.

One of my favorite sequin tops right now also come from Revolve Clothing! For my unicorn themed birthday party, I found an amazing top by Majorelle that is now on sale for $148 on Revolve’s website. This pink rainbow sequin, puffed sleeve top would look stunning with any black bottom and sequin boots! Don’t forget these Crushing Rhinestone Boots by Steve Madden! #OBSESSED #MUSTHAVE
I also found a really cute little tank by Aqua at Bloomingdales. It features a rainbow line of sequins over a black base and works perfectly with a little black skirt, pants, maxi skirt! And the best part is that you can wear any color heel or bootie to match this top!
Pajama looks:
I totally feel the stay at home and enjoying New Year’s Eve in your warm, cozy pajamas! One of my favorite cozy looks right now by Betsey Johnson is her Rose All Day charcoal gray sweatshirt with the words in black sequins! Pop this champagne themed crewneck on with your favorite cozy black leggings and don’t forget Steve Madden’s Rhinestone socks!
Ariana on Revolve, just came out with a pair of black sequin joggers perfect for the stay at home girl who is still ringing in the New Year in style. Grab your favorite hoodie with these joggers to create the perfect stay at home look, and just think if you wanted to wear these again socially, dress them up with a pair of stilettos and silk top!
